After a great breakfast in the upper patio we walked to catch the Mekong Express to Phnom Penh Cambodia. After 2 hours we came to the Cambodian border. First we had to exit Vietnam which took a half hour. We and many other bus loads of people were herded into a huge desolute compound. It was hot and a bit chaotic. We had all given our passports to the bus guide...along with $35 US. Finally we each received our exit. Unfortunately one of the pieces of paper we had filled out and needed was not in Ron's passport when we got back to the bus. After a few moments of terror 😊 we went back and our guide was able to locate it in the building. Back on the bus to travel a few meters to the Cambodian border enrty. Very efficient. Then back on the bus again for the 4 hrs remaining.
Arrived by tuk tuk at our hotel. It was fantastic !! We showered and explored the pool area on the top floor. On trip advisor we saw a burger place that had great reviews. We decided we needed a change of pace from noddles and rice. It was great....owned and run by a French lady. Ron's burger had bbq sauce, raclette cheese, pork belly, onions and sauces. He said it was one of the best he's had. And the french fries were hand cut and sooooo delicious 😋
Later we walked along the malacon on the river to the night market. It was still hot and humid.... 26 degrees... even at 9:00 pm.
